Japanese two-wheeler Yamaha is set to re-launch its popular series RX. Yamaha plans to launch the new RX155 bike in the Indian market by 2022. At the same time, the company has also prepared its design based on the previous RX100 looks. The bike will be powered by a 155 cc engine provided in the R15, according to Yamaha.
The RX 100, which was produced and sold in the Indian market from 1985 to 2005, was well received in Nepal as well.
The new bike is designed in a black color theme. According to the unveiled design, most of its parts including engine, fender, suspension, side panel, spoke wheel have been adjusted in black color. The circular headlamps, twin pod instrument console and wide handlebars make this bike look more classic.
Yamaha has said it will not change the bike’s suspension. Telescopic front and rear dual suspension will be provided.
Although details about the features have not been made public, it is expected that at least single channel ABS will be available. Since the R15 will be connected to the engine, most of the specifications seem to match the same bike. Yamaha’s recently launched R15 V4 also offers safety features such as quick shifter and traction control for clutch free gear shifting. These features are expected to be available in RX15 as well.
Its engine will generate 18.4 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque.
